The Foundation for Contemporary Art – Ghana [FCA-Ghana], Fihankra Review and The Studio Accra announce the Art and Thought Conversations Series.
The series aims to engage through conversations with Artists, Writers, Photographers, Film Makers, Curators, Architects, Designers, Academics and Thinkers, about emerging ideas and concepts in their respective fields, particularly in relation to contemporary art. These conversations are catalytic modes for building community, networking, organizing, gathering, accessing and producing knowledge, and asking necessary questions.
Anchored in the idea that contemporary art practice needs to push itself into a discursive frame and connect with society, we invite individuals to share their works, projects and ideas with an eager audience. We are keen on enabling multiple voices in our steadily growing art milieu. By doing this, we seek to promote the archiving of creativity as well as highlight persons whose works contribute to the growth, development and progress of this space.
The events are open to the general public and are held at the FCA-Ghana [W.E.B. Du Bois Centre Accra.] Whilst the organizers invite speakers, we welcome suggestions and offers from those who would like to moderate a conversation or share their work.
